Job Description

Project Accountant DescriptionMy client is a real estate company seeking a Project Accountant to assist with their day-to-day operations in their Bethesda, MD office. The ideal person for the Project Accountant position will have experience with the month end close process, preparing monthly financial reports, experience with preparing appropriate journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts and an overall understanding of accounting compliance with US GAAP. Daily responsibilities of the Project Accountant include:
  • Prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Prepare appropriate journal entries.
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
  • Research real estate accounting principles.
  • Ensure company is in compliance with regulatory agencies.
RequirementsThe ideal Project Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:
  • 1-2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Public accounting or real estate accounting experience, a plus.
  • Experience with accounting for Real Estate, a plus.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Perform well in team setting.
