To Apply for this Job Click Here Senior Accountant - Bethesda, MD Overview Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Bethesda, MD in their search for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This fully onsite role is responsible for supporting core accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in a corporate accounting environment with advanced Excel capabilities. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity. Lead key aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Assist with the preparation of financial statements, management reporting, and variance analysis. Analyze financial data and support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies. Support audit processes by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor requests. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and reporting accuracy. Assist with special projects and provide financial insights to support business decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accounting operations and reporting needs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Corporate accounting experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and financial data analysis. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with high attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
