Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Senior Accountant to join a dynamic manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for a well-rounded accounting professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and can take ownership of key accounting functions, while also stepping in across the full accounting cycle as needed. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in payroll and accounts receivable, along with the ability and willingness to contribute to broader accounting responsibilities including month-end and year-end close processes. This position requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally within a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and process payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, cash applications, reconciliations, and collections support Assist with and actively participate in month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Support general ledger activities and maintain accuracy across financial records Partner with operations and production teams to understand cost drivers and support manufacturing accounting processes Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and process improvements Assist with audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor requests Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and accounting best practices Utilize SAP and Excel extensively for reporting, analysis, and day-to-day accounting functions Step in to support additional accounting areas such as AP, inventory, and cost accounting as neededQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment Strong experience with payroll and accounts receivable processes Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and financial close Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departmentsPreferred Qualifications:
