Job Description
Senior Accountant
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial transactions, including recurring journal entries, month-end account reconciliations, and GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) reconciliation.
- Research and analyze general ledger account variances to support financial accuracy and insight.
- Manage the Fixed Asset process for the site including CER, oversee fixed asset accounting, and generate reports for users.
- Lead inventory reconciliations and inventory count processes, including tracking open purchase orders, conducting monthly inventory reporting, and supporting materials forecasting.
- Provide proactive analysis and support to the finance team, including KPI and shipment reporting (BOL tracking and creation), ad hoc data requests, and project work.
- Maintain SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance documentation, support ongoing SOX compliance initiatives, and provide required materials for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate within the accounting center to support team work load and ensure timely, accurate completion of tasks.
YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 3+ years of accounting experience is required.
- Experience with Oracle and/or OneStream is helpful.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
- CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to present information and respond to questions from individuals at all levels of our multi-faceted organization.
- A collaborative teammate and self-starter who is looking to grow professionally.
- Ability to travel quarterly to our Millington, MD location (applicable to candidates hired at alternate locations).
