Staff Accountant - Metro Accessible About the
Company and Opportunity:
Our client is a health focused nonprofit organization in DC who has been around for 150 years! Due to a vacancy our client is looking to bring on a temporary Staff Accountant. This position is in-office.
Duration:
contract-to-hire, depending on performance, fit, and needs of the business. Schedule is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. 35 hour work week. 1 hour lunch (unpaid). Metro Accessible -
Gallery Place Pay:
$31-33/hr ~ perm salary $65,000-$70,000 annually. Overview of the Staff Accountant role: General ledger reconciliations Bank reconciliations Preparing Journal entries Reconciling/recording electronic credit card payments Investment journal entries Deferred revenue recognition Backup reviewer of AR/AP as needed Preferred Qualifications for the
Staff Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required 3-5 years of accounting experience Intermediate Excel - Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs. Knowledge of iMIS and Great Plains is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication
