Duties Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations Conduct detailed tax research on issues such as estate planning, securities law, and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs to inform strategic decisions Assist with financial statement preparation, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting using software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or other financial tools Support auditing processes by providing documentation and analysis related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and internal controls Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, perform account reconciliation, and ensure proper debits & credits application in double-entry bookkeeping systems Collaborate on mergers & acquisitions by evaluating financial reports and conducting due diligence for tax implications Contribute to regulatory reporting requirements while maintaining meticulous records of all tax-related activities Skills Proven experience in tax accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards Expertise in estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law, and non-profit accounting is highly desirable Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software for analysis and reporting Solid knowledge of financial concepts including asset management, investment strategies, private equity, and financial services industry practices Strong analysis skills for interpreting financial statements, conducting account analysis, and performing balance sheet reconciliation Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly through report writing and interpretation Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment Embark on a rewarding journey where your expertise fuels our growth!
