Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team in Rockville, MD. This role supports the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and assisting with core accounting functions in a collaborative environment.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsReconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and general ledger balancesReview and resolve discrepancies in invoices, payments, and account balancesMaintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, and supporting schedulesAssist with internal and external audit documentation requestsEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standardsProvide general support to the accounting team as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or a related financial role preferredExperience with accounts payable and/or general accounting functions strongly preferredFamiliarity with ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint experience is a plus)Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliationProficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting softwareStrong organizational and communication skillsMust be fully authorized to work in the
