Job Description

Bisson Moving and Storage/Bisson Transportation is currently looking for a full-time Accountant to assist our Freight Division and join our great team. This position will support our team of accounting staff for our company. We're seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage accounts receivable, driver settlements, recurring entries, and financial reporting. You'll support the Controller, cross-train in Accounts Payable, and help improve month-end close and collections processes. Key responsibilities Manage day-to-day billing, invoicing, and collections across multiple business lines; ensure timely cash application and customer follow-up. Process driver settlements daily and driver expense reports biweekly; ensure accuracy and timely payment. Prepare and post recurring and ad-hoc journal entries; assist with month-end close tasks. Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain accurate subsidiary ledgers. Prepare monthly/quarterly fuel tax filings and related compliance tasks. Qualifications Required Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and progressive accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred but not required. Experience with AR, GL reconciliations, billing, and data‑driven reporting is a plus Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, basic macros).
