Job Description

Property Accountant Compensation $70,000 to $80,000 USD base, DOE; annual bonus eligible; strong benefits Benefits & Growth Employer-paid health insurance, 401k with 10% match, PTO, escalating vacation, and generous holidays Year-end performance bonus (prorated first year), strong track record of bonus payout Exposure to leadership (Controller, business owners), with ongoing professional development and increasing property/account portfolio responsibility Why This Opportunity Stands Out Direct impact on organizational growth, supporting new acquisitions and major business expansion High accountability and relationship-driven team culture with executive visibility Chance to help elevate a Controller to a more strategic role by absorbing key operational accounts Work with the latest real estate accounting technology and practices post-system migration Key Responsibilities of the Property Accountant Own and execute full-cycle accounting for a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate properties Perform accurate journal entries, accruals, monthly close, and bank reconciliations for assigned properties and entities Oversee AP, AR, lease abstracting, and CAM reconciliations tailored to unique property/tenant mix Interface directly with property managers, controllers, and owners to facilitate financial performance and compliance Contribute to ongoing process improvements during accounting system transitions and property onboarding Must-Have Skills/Experience (Required) 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in commercial real estate/property management Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline Proficiency with Yardi (Voyager preferred) or analogous real estate accounting systems EB-1897082346
