Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team in South Portland, Maine. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Record and review journal entries to uphold the integrity of the general ledger.
• Manage month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Assist in managing the healthcare revenue cycle by analyzing financial data and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor cash flow and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of accounting procedures and internal controls.
