If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Allegan that are seeking skilled Cost Accountants. Key Responsibilities Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard to actual costs. Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures. Conduct inventory valuations and reconcile physical counts to system records. Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, focusing on cost of goods sold. Identify and analyze cost variances, providing insights and recommendations for cost reduction. Support product pricing decisions by providing accurate cost data and analysis. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
