JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of multiple entity financial records, supporting the month-end close process, and contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting.
JOB DUTIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Own and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries. Execute full-cycle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and management reports. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data, escalating issues as needed. Support the preparation of internal and external financial reports in compliance with GAAP. Assist with budgeting and forecasting by providing historical data and trend analysis. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, and other business units to ensure financial accuracy. Support external audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the close cycle.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or private company setting. Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles. Proficiency with ERP systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Solid analytical skills with high attention to detail. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Perform all job duties with a positive attitude.

Employee is occasionally required to sit or stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
