Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Technical Accountant to join a dynamic finance and accounting team. This role will be responsible for researching complex accounting matters, supporting strategic transactions, and ensuring compliance with evolving accounting standards and financial reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide technical accounting guidance and support for complex transactions, including impairment assessments, business combinations, asset acquisitions, and lease accounting. Research, analyze, and document accounting conclusions related to new accounting pronouncements and emerging business activities. Partner cross-functionally to evaluate accounting implications of strategic initiatives, operational changes, and unique transactions. Assist with the preparation and review of financial statement disclosures and supporting schedules. Collaborate with external auditors and third-party advisors to support technical accounting positions and ensure alignment on accounting treatment. Support month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations. Analyze financial results and assist management in understanding key business drivers and budget-to-actual variances. Contribute to the enhancement of internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required Master's degree preferred CPA certification required 5+ years of combined public accounting and/or industry accounting experience Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements Exposure to IFRS and technical accounting research preferred Experience researching and documenting accounting issues and conclusions Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
