- Vince Lombardi The Job The Staff Accountant is a key member of the finance/accounting team.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Will provide support for all Month End accounting functions. Provide support for budgeting and financial reporting. Analyze A/R and A/P functions for accuracy. Develop and implement accounting control procedures. Responsible for monthly General Ledger account reconciliations and "true ups" Responsible for completing the Bank Reconciliation using the accounting software. Assist Director of Finance with Fixed Asset accounting and management for both GAAP and tax reporting Assist Director of Finance with developing and preparing Cash Flow Analysis. Responsible for working with Director of Finance on year-end review with CPA. Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential. Maintains professional and technical knowledge. Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. The intent of this position description is to guide the activities of the Staff Accountant. It is not intended to limit the thinking and creativity of the person to the work of this function. Nor is it intended that this describe all the work that may be required of the person in this position.QUARTERLY ROCKS
Each quarter the Staff Accountant will establish, with the Director of Finance, the specific results, improvements, or accomplishments required to support HCS and departmental objectives. These are expressed as ROCKS.Requirements:
Educational Requirements Minimum of a college degree is required. Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is highly preferred.Experience Requirements Technical Experience:
3 or more years' experience in an accounting function role. Sales & use tax experience desired. Physical Requirements Extended hours in front of a computer screen.Repetitive Motions:
Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Core Competencies Task Completion:
Responds effectively to clear direction, follows set procedures. Solves immediate problems, escalating when appropriate. Sees individual tasks through to completion.Technical/Professional Knowledge:
Understands technical terminology. Knows how/when to apply technical skills or procedures (GAAP) and can perform complex tasks in area of expertise.Analyze Issues :
