Financial Accountant

Tommy's is looking for a Financial Accountant to assist with accurate and expedient daily accounting functions for our franchisor business entity, Tommy's. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting reporting needs, and contributing to informed business decisions within a fast-growing organization. Position Responsibilities:

Review and evaluate monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and recommending corrective actions Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, exercising judgment to resolve exceptions, timing issues, and vendor or customer discrepancies Prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and supporting schedules, providing explanations and insights to management Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to support reporting Ensure the efficiency, accuracy, and integrity of accounting records through ongoing review and process improvement Apply accounting principles and company policies to non-routine transactions and accounting questions Other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred 1-3 years of experience within accounting, bookkeeping, etc. Strong customer and vendor relation skills Broad knowledge and exposure to all accounting functions Advanced knowledge working with QuickBooks online Excellent written and oral communication skills Process-oriented and strong collaborator Strong organizational and time management skills Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills High level of integrity and dependability Work Environment and Physical Demands This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and operates primarily indoors with limited to no travel expectation. To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, team member must be able to: Ability to work and commute in all weather conditions Frequently stand and work in a fast-paced environment where they will often be multitasking Able to move about inside the office to access standard office equipment, etc. Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, alternating between sitting and standing Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as; keyboard, copy machine and printer Able to effectively communicate, listen, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers Ability to move and lift up to 30 pounds
