Accountant / Bookkeeping (Korean/Japanese Speaking Preferred)

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper, with a preference for candidates who are fluent in Korean or Japanese. This role involves managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, familiarity with various accounting software, and the ability to interpret complex financial data. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage X3 Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory standards Perform account reconciliations including bank reconciliation, ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation Manage accounts payable and receivable processes ensuring timely payments and collections Conduct journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow records Ensure compliance with SOX regulations, LIHTC requirements, securities law, and governmental accounting standards Support regulatory reporting and audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and explanations Collaborate with teams on financial report writing and interpretation for management review Experience Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and technical accounting principles Demonstrated expertise with financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements including SOX compliance and securities law is preferred Experience with financial analysis and cash flow management highly desirable Prior mentoring or leadership experience within an accounting team is a plus Fluency in Japanese or Korean is preferred but not required; bilingual skills will be considered an asset This role is ideal for a motivated professional seeking to leverage their comprehensive accounting expertise within a collaborative environment that values precision and continuous improvement.
