Accountant - Entry Level

We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Madison Heights, Michigan. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and manage disbursement filing to maintain accurate accounts payable records.
• Oversee employee credit card transactions and ensure proper expense reporting.
• Reconcile daily bank accounts and prepare cash position reports.
• Classify and code expenditures accurately, applying knowledge of accounting principles and ensuring compliance.
• Handle international inter-company transactions and reconcile related balances.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and ledger updates.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Support ad hoc financial projects and reporting tasks as needed.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Financial Controller.
