Job DescriptionJob Description The Senior Accounting Manager serves as the lead accounting professional at the Madison Heights location and is responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, and reporting activities for the Intellinetics, Inc. subsidiary, Graphic Sciences, Inc. (GSI). This role plays a critical part in managing the daily operations of the accounting function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Leadership Lead all day-to-day finance operations for the GSI subsidiary, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to accounting staff, including reviewing work and ensuring accuracy and timeliness Establish, implement, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in alignment with organizational standards Accounting & Reporting Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation Analyze operating results, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to management Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with U.S. GAAP
Regulatory & Audit Compliance Support quarter-end and year-end close processes related to SEC reporting requirements Lead preparation for quarterly reviews and annual audits Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, providing documentation and responding to inquiries Process Improvement & Systems Management Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Manage and maintain NetSuite system integrity for the GSI location Collaborate with the broader accounting team to standardize procedures across entities Develop and maintain organized financial records and documentation systems Financial Analysis & Business Support Prepare monthly financial analyses and reports for management Evaluate contracts to determine financial implications and risks Support budgeting and forecasting processes Cross-Functional & Administrative Support Partner with internal teams to support operational and financial initiatives Assist with HR-related activities, including recruitment support, onboarding processes, and benefits administration Act as a resource for company policies, procedures, and financial practices This role will include additional responsibilities consistent with the position and business needs. Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
