This onsite position will support the North American business unit and oversee a broad range of accounting and financial reporting functions including cost accounting, inventory accounting, general ledger management, budgeting, financial analysis, accounts receivable, collections, and compliance reporting. This position reports directly to company leadership and works closely with a junior accountant and an external accounting firm. The role offers long-term growth potential toward a future Controller-level opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations for a manufacturing and distribution environment Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including actual vs. budget reporting and cost allocation analysis Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, bank accounts, payroll tax records, and related financial transactions Manage cost accounting and inventory accounting processes Maintain accounts receivable functions including invoicing, aging reports, collections, and cash application Analyze financial data and reporting trends to identify operational and financial improvement opportunities Support accounting and reporting activities for capital equipment and large capital projects Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and internal accounting policies and procedures Process federal and state tax documentation in coordination with external CPA partners Assist with budgeting, forecasting, annual revenue projections, and cash flow analysis Prepare financial reporting and supporting documentation for audits and external reporting requirements Collaborate on sales commission reporting and financial analysis Maintain ERP accounting system data integrity and financial reporting accuracy Work with multi-currency transactions including US Dollars and Euros Document financial assumptions, calculations, and reporting methodologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of accounting and finance experience within manufacturing and/or distribution environments Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, accounts receivable, and collections Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting Experience preparing monthly financial statements, reconciliations, budgets, and forecasting reports Experience working within ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications including Excel Experience handling multi-currency transactions including US Dollars and Euros Ability to support audits, tax reporting activities, and financial compliance processes Ability to obtain and maintain required documentation for limited international business travel
Compensation:
Base salary in the 90k
