Liberty Property & Asset Management About the Role Liberty Property & Asset Management is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Property Accountant / CAM Specialist to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in commercial real estate accounting, particularly Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations, tenant billings, and operating expense recoveries. Responsibilities Prepare annual CAM and insurance reconciliations for commercial properties. Calculate and process tenant recoveries and additional rent billings. Review and analyze lease agreements to ensure accurate billing and compliance with lease terms. Maintain tenant accounting records and resolve billing discrepancies. Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and property operating expenses. Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Work closely with Property Managers to ensure accurate reporting and expense allocations. Support year-end accounting and audit preparation. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of commercial property accounting experience. Direct experience with CAM reconciliations and commercial lease administration required. Strong understanding of commercial real estate accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, and data analysis. Experience with Yardi software preferred. Ability to read and interpret commercial leases. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
