In this vital role, you will manage a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records across various platforms. Your expertise will support our organization's financial health, compliance with accounting standards, and smooth operational flow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both corporate and non-profit accounting environments, utilizing leading accounting software to deliver precise financial insights. Responsibilities Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken, ensuring all data is accurate and current. Prepare and record journal entries, including debits and credits, to reflect all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets regularly to identify discrepancies and ensure consistency across financial reports. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections. Conduct account analysis and general ledger reconciliation to support accurate financial reporting and audit readiness. Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed. Support budgeting activities by providing detailed financial data analysis and preparing comprehensive financial reports. Perform month-end closing procedures, including bank reconciliations and account reconciliations, ensuring all entries are correctly posted. Write clear financial reports for internal stakeholders or external auditors that highlight key insights and financial trends. Maintain meticulous records of all bookkeeping activities while adhering to confidentiality standards. Experience Proven experience working with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles along with non-profit accounting practices when applicable. Familiarity with GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping systems, journal entries, and general ledger management. Experience in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and payroll processing. Knowledge of governmental accounting procedures and tax regulations is a plus. Ability to perform detailed account analysis with precision using 10 key typing skills for data entry accuracy. Prior experience in public accounting or working within a professional finance environment is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
