Senior Tax Accountant/ Bookkeeper

Tax & Accounting Firm with a proven track record of success. We are growing at a rapid rate every year. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced tax preparer/bookkeeper to join our team in our Big Lake, MN office. Currently we have two locations - Elk River and Big Lake, MN.

Position Overview:

You would be preparing personal and business tax returns, trust, non-profit, set up new businesses, consult and advise business and individual clients, and work with clients to keep their books up to date regularly.

Knowledge of software applications include:

Drake Tax, Drake Accounting, QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Online scheduling software, Online secure file sharing, Zoom Meetings, and Microsoft Applications.

Hours of paid overtime approved a week during tax season. We are open M-F 9-8 and Saturday 9-5. Typical schedule during tax season (Mid-January - April 15th) is 10-7 M-F and every other Saturday 9-5. Off season (April 16th - Mid January) we require a minimum of 32 hours per week, and we are open

M-F, 9-5.

Salary range:

Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices. Experience with general ledger reconciliation processes. Ability to interpret complex financial reports and communicate findings effectively. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work and communicate with the other staff and clients.
