Senior Tax Accountant Location:
Edina, MN Compensation:
$80K-$105K A highly respected, well‑established manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to lead companywide tax compliance and serve as a trusted advisor within the finance function. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all organizational tax compliance activities Prepare S corporation and partnership tax returns Oversee multi‑state sales and use tax filings Support personal property tax assessments and reporting Manage exemption certificate compliance, book‑to‑tax reconciliations, and M adjustments Handle rental fleet and fixed asset depreciation reporting Maintain and optimize tax setup, configuration, and testing within the ERP system Respond to user tax inquiries and assist with system enhancements and improvements Support federal, state, and local audit requests Participate in quarterly estimated payments, cash planning, and annual tax planning initiatives Identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency within tax workflows Monitor changes in GAAP and tax regulations and ensure timely adoption of updates Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Operations, and leadership on projects and strategic initiatives What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive tax experience; a blend of public accounting and industry experience preferred Strong expertise in income tax, sales and use tax, and property tax Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Strong system aptitude with Microsoft Office and tax software CPA preferred but not required
