Lunds & Byerlys Corporate Support Office is currently hiring for a vibrant and outgoing Account Systems Manager to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers! This position works a Full-time schedule primarily Monday-Friday and earns a competitive salary of $(range)/year.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing financial data, information, and reporting to the company while supporting finance/accounting department initiatives and projects. Responsibilities include performing month-end close functions and preparing financial results in addition to certain general accounting responsibilities including, but not limited to, higher-risk accruals, fixed assets, inventory, leases, and treasury. This individual has a lead role in implementing and maintaining continuous improvement and best practices for the finance/accounting team, including developing and maintaining procedures, policies, and internal controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Verify that the detailed source documents balance to the general ledger in an accurate and timely manner to ensure data integrity and proper internal controls are followed Prepare accruals and other detailed journal entries and reconcile accounts to the general ledger Support treasury function by tracking cash flow and performing bank account reconciliations Gather data from available sources and formulate meaningful reports, analyses, and recommendations in an efficient manner Prepare monthly financial statements for external reporting and perform periodic variance analyses to prior period and budget Develop and modify reports for internal and external users Develop, maintain, and manage multiple data points for transaction balancing and other third-party vendor data Assist with setup, maintenance, and issue resolution in the ERP general ledger system Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility Develop an in-depth understanding of the information flow for the company (both between/among systems and within systems) and workflow within the finance/accounting department to ensure accuracy in documentation and maximize the department's productivity and efficiency Drive to improve procedures in processing functions of finance/accounting, developing and implementing more efficient processes and robust internal controls to comply with legislation and established best practices Collaborate effectively with internal business partners and third-party vendors on organizational projects that impact the department Learn and maintain current knowledge of software applications to ensure effective utilization of existing systems and research capabilities of other potential solutions Support the Controller in developing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) when sourcing solutions for systems and applications to align with company goals and objectives Plan, lead and organize projects within the finance/accounting team and across the organization Support Financial Planning & Analysis and the Controller in the annual budgeting and reforecasting process Lead inter-departmental communications to inform and update business partners Participate in the preparation, provide support and respond to inquiries for the annual financial statement audit Research and respond to internal and external questions providing appropriate resolution in a timely, accurate and professional manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration or equivalent experience
Licensing Desired:
CPA with public accounting experience Experience Five or more years of relevant experience in accounting Other required
