Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant to support core accounting and inventory-related activities for a Contract position based in Maple Grove, Minnesota. This role will play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring warehouse-related inventory movements, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and experience working across payable, receivable, and general ledger functions.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily inventory count reconciliations and investigate discrepancies tied to warehouse activity.
  • Record and review cost and quantity updates to ensure inventory balances remain accurate.
  • Support month-end close by preparing entries, reconciling accounts, and resolving variances in a timely manner.
  • Process and verify freight-related invoices while ensuring charges are coded correctly and matched to supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accuracy across general ledger activity related to inventory and operational transactions.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as needed to support overall accounting operations.
  • Prepare journal entries and complete bank and account reconciliations to strengthen financial accuracy.
  • Contribute to inventory audit activities and help document findings, adjustments, and follow-up actions.
