Full Job Description Shift:
First Shift,Mon,Tue,Wed,Thu,Fri Sherman Associates is currently seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team! The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for corporate accounting and budget functions as well as assist in financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP. This position addresses a multitude of accounting activities including monthly, quarterly, and year-end preparation, analysis, and reporting of multiple business divisions entities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for month-end closing procedures including, but not limited to: bank reconciliations, monthly accruals, balance sheet reconciliations & preparation of supporting schedules as well general ledger analysis. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts. Assist with the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes. Prepare bill backs and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy and consistency of information across entities. Administer the purchasing card program and related internal controls. Assistance of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages to internal and external parties. Assist in preparation of supporting schedules for the year-end audits and tax returns. Review monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls. Assist with Cash Management functions as appropriate. Prepare ad hoc financial reporting requests, other analyses, special projects and other duties as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. 3+ years experience. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Office software with advanced skills in Excel. Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Exposed to ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment; quiet to moderate noise level.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay Range:
$80,00 - $90,000 annual salary + bonus eligibility. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position; including experience, skills, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
