About the Role Currie & Brown is seeking a Technical Lead - BIM Estimating & Model Cost Readiness to support the development and execution of scalable BIM-based estimating and model cost readiness workflows. This role bridges BIM, estimating, project management, and construction technology to deliver reliable and defensible cost insights from complex and often imperfect project data. This is not a traditional BIM coordination or estimating role. This position is part of a growing Construction Technology Consulting capability focused on transforming how BIM data is leveraged for estimating, project controls, and consulting services across large-scale construction programs. The ideal candidate will bring strong BIM fluency combined with real-world construction project experience and the ability to operate effectively within active project environments involving incomplete models, inconsistent data, and evolving project conditions. Responsibilities will Include Execute BIM-based quantity takeoffs across multiple construction disciplines Evaluate BIM model cost readiness and identify opportunities for improvement Reconcile 3D model quantities with 2D construction documentation Apply BIM, 2D, and hybrid estimating workflows depending on project conditions and value Support estimating and project controls delivery under real project constraints Collaborate with leadership to refine and improve scalable workflows and delivery standards Analyze project data and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and risks impacting cost accuracy Support the development of repeatable construction technology consulting processes and methodologies Coordinate with estimating, project controls, project management, and design teams Provide practical feedback on workflow effectiveness and implementation challenges Assist in validating workflows in live project environments to support future scalability Support continuous improvement initiatives across BIM-enabled estimating and cost consulting services Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, project management, or related field preferred Strong BIM capability including model navigation, data structure understanding, and quantity extraction Experience utilizing BIM for estimating, coordination, project controls, or construction decision-making Experience supporting construction projects in real-world project delivery environments Familiarity with estimating workflows, quantity takeoff processes, and project controls principles Ability to interpret and reconcile both 3D models and 2D construction documentation Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced and evolving project environments Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills Experience with construction technology platforms and BIM software preferred Why Join Currie & Brown Opportunity to help build and scale an innovative Construction Technology Consulting capability Exposure to large-scale, complex construction programs across multiple sectors Collaborative and entrepreneurial environment with strong leadership support Career growth path into technical leadership, delivery management, and team development Competitive compensation and benefits package Flexible and collaborative working environment
