Full Job Description Overview:

Love From USA is seeking a temporary Staff Accountant and Analyst to provide full-time, in-office coverage while our current team member is on leave. This is a temporary engagement with a defined end date. The ideal candidate brings strong retail accounting expertise, data analytics capabilities, and hands-on experience with CounterPoint and Sage software.

Love From USA is a specialty retailer operating in venues in Orlando, Denver + Chicago's airports along with highly trafficked locations like Mall of America and Chicago's Navy Pier. Responsibilities As a key member of the Accounting and Finance department this individual will Lead data analytics efforts, including analysis of CounterPoint reports, sales trends, airport-driven metrics, and concept/industry-specific KPIs Apply AI tools and technologies to streamline financial reporting, forecasting, and data analysis workflows Prepare financial reports, account reconciliations, and sales tax returns Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy across accounting records Build and maintain financial models, budgets, and forecasts; conduct variance analysis to support strategic decision-making Develop recommendations to optimize accounting systems and processes using Sage and CounterPoint Supervise junior team members and assign tasks as needed during the temporary assignment Assist leadership with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned Education and Qualifications Four-year college degree strongly preferred; minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required Accounting certifications a plus Proficiency in CounterPoint POS software — required Proficiency in Sage accounting software — required Strong data analytics skills: ability to analyze complex datasets including internal CounterPoint reports, sales tax data, financial information, and venue/industry-specific metrics Familiarity with AI tools and technologies as applied to finance, accounting, or data analysis Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office suite Knowledge of ERP software platforms Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles Minimum 2 years of accounting experience preferred; 1 year of financial analysis experience preferred Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with department heads and leadership
