Job Description

Blackstone Investment Group, Inc. is a multiple entity organization looking for an HR/Accounting Associate. This position is an internal shared resource spot split between HR and accounting functions. It requires a person who is detail oriented, who can multi-task, and who can provide the highest level of confidentiality and customer service for both internal and external partners. Someone who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of professional HR duties as well as accounting practices and who also understands the complexities of shared transactions between two or more companies is highly sought after.
Current Duties include:
HR/Payroll:
Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing and accounting system to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Assists with benefit enrollments, work comp claims and related and follow-up. Address payroll changes and inquiries from employees. Monitors compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Performs other duties as assigned.
Accounts Payable:
Matching of PO's, receivers and invoices Compare costs on PO's and receivers Input invoices into accounting systems for payment Make payments of invoices via check, wire, or credit card Match payment documentation with invoices Code payments by credit card in online banking system Make appropriate GL entries between companies
Accounts Receivable:
Input orders into the computer system Input invoices in vendor portals Process invoices Process credit card payments Apply payments in accounting system Prepare deposits
General Office:
Answer phones and direct calls Filing, faxing and scan emailing of documents Prepare various accounting reports And other general office duties as assigned
Qualifications:
1-2 years of HR or payroll experience (or trainable) 1-2 years cloud-based computer accounting experience (Paycor, Employee Navigator, NetSuite, Microsoft Office, Outlook, internet, etc.) Experience in a multi-client environment, highly preferred. Must have good listening and communication skills. Capacity and commitment to work 40 hours a week during traditional daytime business hours. Ability to embrace coaching and feedback provided by your manager and implement changes as needed to help meet team and client goals. Ability to find, research and correct errors Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.

Salary:
$17.00 to $20.00 /hour (Posted salary is DOE)
