The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed salary range listed above. Responsibilities - What you'll do Examine expense accounts and invoices for mathematical accuracy, dates, correct account codes, and required documentation, including verification of receipt of goods and/or services and process for payment. Communicate with vendors and district office staff regarding discrepancies on invoices or expense reports, and work with them to correct any errors. Assist with registration and tracking of suppliers in MissouriBUYS, powered by MOVERS Perform OnBase audit to ensure documentation is accurate. Fold and stuff check remittance information daily. Deliver checks to DESE Accounting. Assist with review of purchasing card logs. Prepare and process refunds and cancelled checks in a timely manner. Assist with timely submission of crucial supporting documents (invoices, notes, records) to the Social Security Administration for enhanced claim resolution. Operate standard office equipment such as calculator, copier, and word processor/personal computer. Distribute mail to appropriate offices. Perform other related work as assigned. Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or the GED equivalent and Two years of office experience including the processing of invoices and considerable work in arithmetical computation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of general accounting principles and governmental accounting systems Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAM II financial system, MissouriBUYS and other agency systems Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and with other agencies and individuals Ability to plan, organize and execute a large volume of detailed work within assigned deadlines Ability to make arithmetical calculations with speed and accuracy Effective oral and written communication skills Lack of post‐secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
