Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Lee's Summit, Missouri. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting, particularly within the manufacturing industry. You will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and driving efficiency in accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Completion of month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee general ledger activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Conduct detailed inventory analysis to optimize stock levels and financial performance.
• Maintain accurate inventory accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues related to manufacturing operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial operations and implement solutions.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations applicable to the manufacturing sector. Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Solid understanding of inventory accounting and analysis.
• Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
