Job Description

Summary :
The Toyoda Gosei Group is a leading global manufacturer of rubber and plastic automotive components, safety systems and LEDs. Globally Headquartered in Japan with a network of 67 group companies in 17 countries and regions, the Group brings its extensive range of products to customers all over the world. Toyoda Gosei North America (located in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Cost Accountant Summer Intern . The selected candidate will be responsible for the monitoring and maintaining of all cost standards, inventory controls, monthly reporting to management and variance analysis in accordance with GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, as well as supporting individual Toyoda Gosei (TG) group companies (plants) throughout North America.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Assist in the setting up of standard costs for raw materials.
  • Maintain inventory & cost related codes in JDE.
  • Assist in the reconciliations of inventory accounts at month end.
  • Assist in the process of a physical inventory.
  • Assist in the identification of build out inventory.
  • Support any additional duties within the accounting department.
Qualifications and Competencies :
  • Coursework towards a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Understanding of GAAP and IFRS Accounting Standards
  • Excellent organization and communication skills required
