Ministry Function:
The Financial Reporting Assistant supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by providing accurate financial reporting, data analysis, and administrative support to the Finance team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Compiles, reconciles, and validates financial data from multiple internal sources to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting. Assists with the preparation and distribution of recurring financial reports, including monthly and ad hoc reporting requirements. Maintains financial spreadsheets, databases, and supporting documentation used for reporting and analysis. Supports budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes by gathering and organizing financial information. Performs data entry and data verification activities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Collaborates with Finance team members to improve reporting processes, increase efficiency, and ensure data integrity. Assists with special projects, reporting requests, and financial analysis as assigned. Ensures compliance with established financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Protects highly confidential financial, personnel, and organizational information while maintaining strict confidentiality and professional discretion. Fulfills all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
An associate's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Exhibits strong Mac or PC proficiency and working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn other COH systems as needed. Experience in Microsoft
D365 F&O
systems is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments. Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.

Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
There are no supervisory responsibilities at this time. This is a part-time, temporary position expecting 25 hours per week.
