Delta Fuel Company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Full Charge Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant. This role will support core accounting functions, including accounts receivable, general ledger activity, and financial reporting support. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, family-owned company and work alongside a team of industry leaders. This position is based in Natchez, Mississippi, and candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounts receivable, including customer sales order processing Process customer invoices, statements, and receipts Review bills of lading and delivery tickets for accuracy Assist with Tax preparation by 3rd party tax preparers. Assist with month-end and period-end close processes Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy Work closely with operations and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely order completion Maintain organized financial records and documentation Support process improvements and operational efficiencies Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
3-5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience Proficiency with QuickBooks and/or fully integrated Accounting Systems. Experience with accounts receivable and general ledger functions preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
