Job Description
Job Overview Due to continued growth we are seeking a detail-oriented and multitasking Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, which specializes in Civil and Commercial construction, you will enjoy a diverse workload that goes beyond traditional accounting. In this role, you will work with the finance team and management to analyze financial statements, help with the bidding process, work with a large fixed asset portfolio, communicate directly with customers, and complete day-to-day accounting tasks. Responsibilities Manage Accounts Payable, Credit Cards Fix Assets 3-5 years accounting experience Good judgement when working with confidential and sensitive information Purchase order System Utilize QuickBooks desktop to maintain accurate records and streamline processes. Conduct thorough account analysis to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement Assist in preparing bids for large projects Manage timely and accurate job cost reports, including projections and cost-to-complete. Maintain compliance documentations Ability to multi-task Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work independently Strong work ethic and integrity Monitor and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual tax payments. Skills Proficiency in accounting principles and practices. Ability to remain calm and professional during tense or stressful situations Experience in asset management Ability to perform detailed account analysis with precision. Proficient in using financial software for accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in reporting. Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel. Commitment to confidentiality with all financial information Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Strong time management and ability to meet multiple deadlines across competing priorities. Ability to work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team environment.
