Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the firm's financial health through accurate bookkeeping and accounting practices. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, a passion for accuracy, and a proactive attitude to their work every day. Duties Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate financial records. Perform general ledger accounting and account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial statements. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections. Reconcile balance sheets regularly and prepare financial reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Excel and others to record transactions and generate reports. Conduct payroll management using systems like ADP while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and payroll laws. Support internal controls by adhering to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and assisting with internal audits as needed. Assist with governmental accounting tasks and non-profit accounting procedures when applicable. Perform tax-related tasks including preparation of tax filings and maintaining relevant documentation. Maintain meticulous records for audit purposes and support financial analysis for budgeting and forecasting activities. Qualifications Proven experience in corporate accounting or bookkeeping roles with a strong understanding of financial concepts. Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices. Strong data entry skills including 10 key typing accuracy and attention to detail in account analysis. Experience with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger management. Ability to interpret financial data accurately while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Excellent organizational skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
