Job Description:
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our growing team in an in-person office environment. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, analytical, and thrives in a collaborative workplace setting. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
Assist with preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules
Monitor expenses and help ensure budget compliance
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Support audits and provide requested documentation
Assist with payroll processing and related reporting, as needed
Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and efficiencies
Collaborate with internal departments regarding financial matters Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Professional demeanor and strong work ethic Preferred Skills
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
Knowledge of GAAP principles
Experience with payroll and expense management systems
