  • Perform and/or assist with the preparation and review of SEC 10-K, 10-Q, press release, and other regulatory filings, including consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures, in accordance with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
  • Perform and/or assist with the research and analysis of new and existing accounting pronouncements, standards, and regulatory guidance to assess their impact on the organization's financial reporting and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Maintain documentation related to consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations, ensuring all assigned controls are completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform and/or assist with various higher-level finance and accounting functions, including monthly Board reports, general ledger reconciliations, investment accounting, financial analysis, and report generation.
  • Perform and/or assist with furnishing requested information to bank examiners and auditors for safety and soundness examinations, quarterly reviews, and annual audits, including tracking and coordinating required documentation.
  • Perform and/or assist with overall organizational budget preparation and ongoing monitoring, collaborating with various bank departments to gather, compile, organize, and validate budgetary data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify workflow and data reporting enhancements and support mitigation efforts through the evaluation and implementation of reporting tools and process improvements for the accounting and finance team.
  • Cross-train and provide backup to other accounting and finance department staff.
  • Perform and/or assist with special projects related to financial reporting and accounting.
Education and Experience Requirements 4 year college degree (accounting, finance or related) & 6 years experience in financial reporting, auditing or financial statement preparation - or equivalent combination of education & experience Proficiency with financial reporting software, data analytics tools, or automation platforms used in accounting and finance environments. Education and Experience Preferences Masters or MBA Experience in the financial reporting environment of a publicly traded company or financial institution.
