For more information, visit our website at www.kearfott.com Position Description This position is responsible for the development of cost estimates, assistance in negotiations and audits, and calculating monthly cost accruals/invoicing on various types of contracts. Essential Functions Supports the quoting activity of the Contracts, Sales & Engineering Groups with cost estimates Pulls data from multiple computer systems to produce coherent and supportable estimates of present and future costs Complies with government regulations FAR and DFAR as well as company policies Understands the difference between standard and actual cost accounting principles Has a business acumen, ability to analyze costing results and reasonableness Critical Competencies Strong analytical experience for gross margin analysis Attention to details and flexible outlook Good organizational, data collection and multi-tasking skills Tenacious, inquisitive, driven, and a sense of urgency Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP Software experience Education & Experience Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or Finance 1+ years of experience in finance or accounting role, preferred Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available This position is 100% onsite at our Black Mountain NC facility.
