Job Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CPA to join our growing public accounting firm. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, client-focused, and able to manage multiple engagements while maintaining high-quality work and excellent communication. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, contribute to a collaborative office environment, and grow long-term within the firm. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, business, fiduciary, and nonprofit tax returns Provide year-round tax planning and consulting services Communicate with clients regarding tax matters, notices, and questions Review financial statements and accounting records for accuracy Assist with bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting services as needed Research tax issues and stay current on tax law changes Manage multiple client deadlines efficiently Collaborate with associates to provide exceptional client service Qualifications Active CPA license required Public accounting experience, preferred Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation Experience with tax and accounting software Experience with Intuit Products, preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional and client-service-oriented attitude Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan options Continuing education support Flexible and supportive work environment Opportunity for long-term professional growth Schedule Monday to Friday Full-time preferred; part-time candidates will also be considered Experience Proven experience as a CPA or Senior Accountant with a strong background in corporate accounting or public accounting environments. Extensive knowledge of GAAP, tax accounting principles, securities law, and regulatory reporting requirements. Demonstrated expertise in financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, asset management, and financial statement preparation. Proficiency with various accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent platforms. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and produce clear reports. Experience with estate planning, wills & trusts law is a plus; familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) beneficial. Knowledge of auditing procedures, SOX compliance standards, mergers & acquisitions processes, and private equity transactions highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation tasks. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
