This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organization's financial health through accurate accounting practices, data analysis, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong technical accounting skills, and be passionate about maintaining the integrity of financial records. As a vital part of our team, you will support various accounting functions, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance, and organizational policies. Duties Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and vendor payments using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and review financial data for accuracy and completeness. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including financial statement preparation and variance analysis. Support internal controls compliance initiatives, including SOX testing and documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, audit preparations, and tax filings to ensure regulatory compliance. Utilize payroll management systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian for payroll processing and related reporting. Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy using 10-key typing skills while maintaining double-entry bookkeeping standards. . Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus. Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments demonstrating strong understanding of GAAP and financial concepts. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or UltiPro is essential; experience with Workday or Ceridian is advantageous. Knowledge of SOX compliance procedures and experience supporting internal controls testing preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis and reconcile complex accounts accurately. Excellent math skills coupled with attention to detail for precise bookkeeping and account reconciliation tasks. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high-quality work standards in a fast-paced environment.
