Corporate Accountant

Position Summary The Corporate Accountant will support key accounting and reporting functions, including month-end close, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and cash-related activities. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including recurring and adjusting entries Support the monthly close process and financial reporting activities Analyze and record accruals, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts Perform account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items Assist with cash management and treasury-related reporting Review and analyze accounts payable and accounts receivable activity Partner with internal stakeholders to investigate discrepancies and improve processes Analyze general ledger activity and identify unusual variances Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting Assist with audit preparation and maintain supporting documentation Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency Collaborate with finance, accounting, and operational teams on various initiatives Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field 1+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Experience supporting month-end close and general ledger accounting ERP system experience Exposure to financial statement preparation and account reconciliations Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
