Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant I to support financial operations, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role plays a key role in maintaining the organization's financial health. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze general ledger entries and financial transactions Conduct daily cash flow analysis for assigned funds Perform monthly bank reconciliations Analyze financial data, including assets, liabilities, and capital Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers for accuracy Maintain fixed asset records Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls Verify bank deposits and ensure accuracy Monitor compliance with GAAP and organizational policies Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies Prepare payroll and daily bank deposits Maintain company benefits records Assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local financial reports Recommend improvements to accounting processes Ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Experience:
Candidates should possess 2 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience, with a preference for backgrounds in non-profit accounting. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
