  • Full-time If you are a detail-oriented, experienced Bookkeeper looking to join a growing small firm in Mooresville, read on!
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. If you enjoy accounting and the communication aspect of keeping clients informed and educated, this may be the ideal position for you. You'll be involved with and responsible for: Establishing new accounts and maintaining current accounts, record keeping. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records and implementing corrective measures. Properly accounting for payroll transactions after the fact and keeping payroll liabilities in balance. Processing day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, bill payments, and bank reconciliations. Staying informed about changes in financial regulations and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Collaborating with staff accountants to obtain necessary financial information and provide support as needed. Assisting in the preparation for external audits. Monitoring for variances from projected budgets or tax plans Qualifications for the position: Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field preferred Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex data clearly both internally and with clients Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines Maintain confidentiality and have a high level of integrity High level of accuracy, strong-organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software.
