The primary responsibilities of the Property Accountant are to assist the Senior Property Accountant in accounting and reporting of all properties assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
Accurate balance sheet reconciliation to sub-ledgers and/or supporting documentation and income statement review at month-end including Bank reconciliations including clean up significantly aged outstanding checks Accounts Payable and Accruals Accounts Receivable, Bad Debts, Security Deposits and Prepaid Rents Mortgage and escrow balances Taxes, Insurance Identification and reclassification of transactions miscoded Additional closing procedures as required Assist in getting all monthly documents scanned into Google Drive Assign easily completed and basic tasks to Accounting Assistant Special Projects and other tasks As Assigned by
Senior Property Accountant and Property Controller Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field 1-3 years accounting experience Property Accounting experience a plus Strong communication & organizational skills Comfortable with
