Senior Accountant

We are recruiting a Senior Accountant for a company in Raleigh with sustained revenue growth. In this role, you will support accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This is an opportunity for exposure across the accounting function and provides the opportunity to work closely with finance leadership and cross-functional business partners. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment where they can contribute beyond the traditional close process. Responsibilities Support the month-end and quarter-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and account analyses. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies and reporting requirements. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reporting, and supporting schedules. Participate in special projects related to business growth, process improvements, and operational initiatives. Research accounting matters and assist with the documentation of accounting conclusions as needed. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve reporting accuracy, streamline workflows, and enhance financial processes. Support system enhancements, automation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives across the accounting function. Collaborate with broader finance teams to provide analysis, reporting support, and insights that assist business decision-making.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, public accounting is a plus. CPA is highly preferred Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. Experience in a public company or experience with public company clients is a plus Advanced Excel skills and experience working within an ERP environment.
