Job Description

La Herradura Western Wear Selma, North Carolina Full-Time | In-Office About La Herradura La Herradura Western Wear is a growing Western apparel retailer with multiple physical store locations and a rapidly expanding online sales operation. The company specializes in Western boots, apparel, hats, and accessories. Our operations include brick-and-mortar retail stores, e-commerce sales, inventory distribution, and brand partnerships across several regions. As the business continues to grow, we are expanding our operational infrastructure, financial systems, and internal processes to support additional store openings and increased sales volume. La Herradura is focused on building a strong organizational foundation that supports long term growth, operational efficiency, and financial transparency. The accounting function plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting management decisions, and ensuring the business is positioned for continued expansion. Responsibilities Financial Accounting Maintain and update general ledger records Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and financial statements Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning Accounts Payable & Receivable Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances Maintain organized financial records and documentation Inventory & Retail Accounting Assist with inventory accounting and reconciliation across locations Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS) and product margins Support financial oversight of retail and e-commerce operations Compliance & Tax Support Assist with sales tax reporting and filings Prepare financial records for external accountants and tax preparation Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies Operational Support Work with ownership and management on budgeting and financial strategy Support financial analysis related to store operations and expansion Assist with internal financial controls and process improvements Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Advanced proficiency in Excel or similar High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Preferred Experience with retail or multi-location business accounting Experience working with QuickBooks, or similar accounting software CPA or CPA candidate is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Stable full-time position with growth opportunities Opportunity to work with a rapidly expanding brand Location This position is in-person in Selma, North Carolina .
