Hanes is a division of Leggett & Platt Inc. (

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the execution and integrity of core accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger activity. This role ensures accurate, controlled, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting while supporting audits and driving continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities Execute month-end close with accuracy and timeliness Maintain and analyze general ledger activity, including journal entries Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations with proper support Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies Support internal and external audits, including documentation preparation Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting Identify and resolve discrepancies to improve data accuracy Partner cross-functionally to improve data quality Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes and tools Key Competencies Detail-oriented and highly organized Strong ownership and accountability Process-driven mindset with focus on improvement Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Analytical and problem-solving mindset Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3-5+ years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience with month-end close and financial reporting Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel About Hanes Companies Please visit our website at www.hanescompanies.com to learn more about Hanes.
