Lead Accountant

Hunt Forest Resources is seeking a dependable and experienced Lead Accountant to join our team. This position will work directly with company leadership and assist with accounting operations across multiple related companies. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of core accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Include:

General ledger maintenance and reconciliations Journal entries and month-end close support Bank and credit card reconciliations Fixed asset and depreciation schedules Intercompany accounting and settlements Monitoring cash balances and assisting with cash management Posting customer deposits Assisting with accounts payable Payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations Reconciling balance sheet and ledger accounts at month-end Preparing internal accounting and financial reports Assisting with year-end CPA and tax support

Qualifications:

3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Strong understanding of accounting principles Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred Excel and accounting software proficiency Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail and follow-through

Preferred Experience:

QuickBooks experience Multi-entity accounting Construction, forestry, transportation, agriculture, real estate, or related industries a bonus
