This role plays a key part in the month-end close process, financial reporting and analysis, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information in a high-volume, transaction-driven environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, retail experience, and the ability to operate independently while contributing to process improvements and team development.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex journal entries related to sales activity, inventory, cost of goods sold, accruals, and operating expenses Own key areas of the balance sheet, including account reconciliations, variance analysis, and resolution of discrepancies Lead and actively participate in month-end and quarter-end close processes Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, identifying trends and key drivers Support accounting for retail operations, including multi-location store activity, inventory movement, and related accounting considerations Partner cross-functionally with store operations, merchandising, and finance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Serve as a key contact for internal and external audits, preparing schedules and supporting documentation Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls Participate in special projects and support evolving business needs as the company grows Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and analysis through better use of systems and automation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience Retail accounting experience strongly preferred , including multi-location or high-volume environments Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience with complex reconciliations, financial reporting, and close processes Solid understanding of inventory and cost of goods sold accounting Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally High level of integrity and professionalism Why Join Us • Hands-on role with meaningful ownership of core accounting areas.
